BELLYDANCE CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Beginner Bellydance

Have fun and get fit learning the basic moves of the ancient art of bellydance! Perfect for first-timers. Mayada offers pre-registered six-week courses of beginner level where you will learn the basic movements of Egyptian-style bellydance including shimmies, hip twists, undulations, hip circles, figure eights, and other accents and isolations.

Beginner 2 Bellydance

Build on fundamentals learnt in the beginner level as well as working on new, more challenging technique. Layering, arms, and working on technique. If you are not familiar with Mayada's style, this is a terrific class to try first to get some basics.

Intermediate Bellydance

This class is quite challenging and includes many interesting new combinations, steps and show-worthy choreography.

Advanced Bellydance

For advanced bellydancers. This class focuses on crazy combinations, original new steps, technique refinement, and challenging choreography. You should be very comfortable with Mayada's style of bellydance steps to get the most out of this class.

Tuesdays at 7:15pm & Saturdays at 12:00pm (drop-in!)

Audition-Only Professional Bellydance

This course is a professional-level technique class, plus improv, stage presence, performance, and choreography work. E-mail Mayada to book your audition!

Intermediate/Advanced Bellydance Boot Camp

This class is a workout that will strengthen, tone, and stretch all the body parts that need to be in top form for bellydance. Work your arms, back, chest, abs, legs, ankles, and more - plus drill bellydance technique!

- make your undulations and ab work smoother and more articulate!

- get the endurance you need so you never tire out in class or a show!

- strengthen your arms so you can keep arm-work looking alive!

- work on lowering and raising with movements!

- loosen your shimmies and more with special hip stretches!

- strengthen your calves and ankles so you can stay up on your toes without teetering around!

Thursdays 7:15 - 8:15pm (drop-in!)

Mommy & Baby Bellydance Boot Camp

Have fun with your baby learning the ancient art of bellydance and getting fit! With your baby snuggled into an infant carrier, moms burn fat and regain pre-pregnancy shape in this hour long dance/workout class. It's an excellent workout, and your baby will love the intimate interaction with Mommy. Meet other moms, introduce your child to rhythm and music, and a great way to learn the ancient art of bellydance! Babies 8-weeks to one-year are welcome.
